My passion for education began in the classroom with my students. Our environment was one of trust and safety - with that - I could help them thrive. I was fortunate to have had 15 years with outstanding, talented, empathetic young men and women before making the decision to move back to Canada.

The desire to help dogs, however, evolved with our own adopted dogs and the pasts that they needed to overcome beginning over a decade ago. This ultimately led to volunteering at shelters, wanting to help more dogs. I really wanted to learn dog training methods to help these dogs further, and on came the journey of humane, positive reinforcement focused training. Dogs learn best in an environment much like ours - with trust and safety first. The power of positive training truly deepens your relationship with your dog.

Positive reinforcement methods are backed by ASVAB (American Veterinary Society of Behaviour) and CVMA (Canadian Veterinary Medical Association) each put out statements supporting using only positive reinforcement training with dogs.
